Anne Celeste Heche was an American actor who is known for her performances in various categories in the film and television theatre. She was awarded numerous awards such as Daytime Emmy Award. It is a popular belief that Anne did not want to play Laurie Strode for John Carpenter's Halloween, a film from 1978. Jaime Lee Curtis was cast in its place. Carpenter states that the actress turned down his offer to portray Laurie Strode. Anne does not remember being being contacted with the name of John Carpenter nor being offered the position. It is possible that one of her agents rejected the offer on her behalf without telling the actress. Glen Larson, who had given her the initial draft script of a part of the TV series Battlestar Galactica from 1978, initially chose her. She initially refused the part as the character wasn't that robust. Glen then wrote her an even stronger character with Sheba. The Living Legend, the first twenty-five pages of which she had read, was immediately accepted. The show ran for one season. The show also featured her with Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine, Desi Arnaz (son Desi Arnaz & Lucille ball) in Joyride in 1977. In addition, she co-starred with Michael Moriarty as The Dark Tower in 1987.
