Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer known for the roles she was in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an American actor, producer and director who works in television and film. Her career began as an actor in theater but then proceeded to be a part of numerous television series, mainstream and independent films. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with high praise but also received a host of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. She began her career acting in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. Alongside the Broadway production Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Coming to her movie career she is renowned for her roles in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her role on ABC's crime show High Incident.
